Jesco is a 3-piece band from The Netherlands centred around Utrecht.
They play a variety of genres, from blues to punk to folk music, with a rock ‘n roll attitude.
Bringing together instruments such as banjo, guitar, washboard, harmonica, steel chains, and double bass to craft what’s best described as Folk ‘n’ Roll.
Thematically Jesco’s stories are mostly about the madness of the mind and the tragic denizens and outcasts that stumble around and within us. With a dark sense of humour, they hope to invite the audience to relate with, laugh about, or be appalled by the characters, thoughts and tales which inhabit the melodies.
Jesco has performed extensively across mainland Europe and Ireland, sharing the stage with bands such as:
The Bridge City Sinners,
The Godddamn Gallows,
Slim Cessna's Auto Club,
The Dead Brothers,
and many more.
They play both on stage and in the street, fully amplified, acoustic, and anything in between.
In recent years Jesco have released two EPs alongside their first full-length album, Bored or Sad.
Their latest EP Please Do Not Lie is now available on vinyl and all streaming services.
